Yeah, all the gameplay additions from WotL didn't make it over, like the additional party members and jobs. The localization is the only thing that was kept, but even that got modified a bit more.

Thankfully it seems like there's a lot of modding tools being made quickly for the PC version of the remaster, so I wouldn't be surprised if dual-wielding pistols becomes a thing quickly

Oh that sounds really fun! I was using chemists for a while since guns are pretty powerful when they first become available, but I dropped them during the endgame since the damage dropoff is huge and I missed most of my chances to get the magic casting guns.

I kind of stuck with the tried-and-true Ramza as monk > barehanded ninja, Orlandeau, and a mix of generics set to mathematician/whatever else was needed, so at some point I'd like to try going a different route from that

Like yeah, there are abilities and job combinations that can trivialize a lot of stuff. There's also 3 million combinations of jobs and abilities.

The absolute worst thing about many video players on the internet now is that the UI fades in on top of the video and then either lingers for way too long before disappearing or it hits a bug that makes it never go away, forcing you to refresh the page.
