You can say “we historically lived there” but that doesn’t entitle anyone to what has happened in the last century. And trying to frame it as “actually this was super progressive then got taken over by conservatives” is ignoring that the root of it is still “force out the people who live here now.”

How do you accomplish that WITHOUT doing what the current Israeli government is doing, and has historically done? There’s no world where that idea was done peacefully, it’s turned into a genocide, so what’s the end goal here? Zionism calls for an ethnostate, by definition, even the one you created.

Even liberal zionists have historically supported actions like removing Palestinians off their lands and the earliest military campaigns, the root of the ideology is creating an ethnostate which only happens by force. What else is the result of believing you are entitled to this area in particular?
