Yep. Anything they don't like is demons. Anything they're uncomfortable with is demons. Most of their dislikes and discomforts are based on bigotry and ignorance, but questioning those bigoted beliefs makes them feel icky too. So questioning is demons trying to tempt them away from Jesus.

Deploying emergency puppers

I brush my teeth, take a shower and dress, then take my dogs for a walk and pick up a coffee at the local coffee shop while we're out. (There may be 30 minutes or so of mindless phone scrolling in between the "wake up" and "brush teeth" parts of my routine though.)

I had popcorn for dinner 🤷‍♀️ I was hungry, too tired to cook, and it's dark and pouring down rain so I didn't want to drive anywhere to get food. Might also eat an apple later since I have one hanging around.

I think what they're abandoning is responsibility. If they build their own ideology, they'll feel at fault for whatever they get wrong. If they just follow a set of rules defined by some authority figure or holy book, they can pretend at the kind of innocence that only children actually have.

Soda and cake. I hardly ever have those anyway, but the rest (except for cookies) are foods I eat regularly.

Only if I make the sauce from scratch and need a little sugar to balance the acidity from the tomatoes. I would never add sugar to store-bought spaghetti sauce.
