Designers at my workplace use Elementor for a quick proof of concept and landing pages without worrying much about the coding part. And when they eventually need something custom, I help them out.

Going with WordPress means you need to work hard on getting organic traffic. It's relatively harder now compared to a decade ago when social media was still not mature.

Hmm... that's interesting.

Afaik, there is no native support for it but I can write some custom plugin for it this weekend.

Sometimes it makes me wonder what direction WordPress team is taking.

Developers are not happy because eveything is focussed on Gutenberg template builder lately and not fixing the bloat.

Designers/endusers are not happy because they find it quite lacking and not as good as, let's say Elementor.

Funny thing is, you can still call urself a WordPress developer, but it was very awkward saying I'm a blogger developer, lol.

That's a rabbit hole everyone goes into when doing self-hosting or anything custom.

I remember starting with old-ass blogger templates back in college days and I wanted to make it more modern.

And all of a sudden, I was in a mess of XML that I didn't understand a damn thing about back then.
