It’s just a consistent aspect with the Erdrick trilogy as a whole, as long as your heart in the right place and have the courage, you can be a hero

What I mean by this is that the original is a very simple game (first jrpg on a console duh) and the remake outs an emphasis on what being a “hero” really means and fantasizes about how important YOU can be which gels well with how simple DQ1 fundamentally is
