I finished annotating (most of) the translation with 8-4's assistance. I skipped a couple unfinished parts, but it's enough for the translator to properly start work on Monday! Yay!

If you like the other seasons before it, from a writing perspective, it's the exact same. It's the same anime you love but with a more expressive art style.

It got hit really hard with a wave of people who were my age at the time being in that part of life when they're outgrowing kids media & blaming their old interests instead of reflecting on their changing interests. Can't blame them either, the quality of the games made the anime an easy target.

So if we count that as him, I guess mystery solved? He's Vampire Pumpkinhead from Scooby-Doo: Attack of the Vampire Pumpkinheads. He even has a wiki page. But it doesn't say the release date of the game so who knows if that's his earliest form or not. So the mystery shifted, now THIS is the mystery
