I don't usually talk about my disabilities but I need to vent. I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and my knees have been dislocating because of it since I was 6. Now my finger joints are deteriorating too. I braid my hair every day but my index finger is getting so bad I know I won't be able to forever.

This graph shows the average November volume of Arctic sea-ice. As you can see, November, 2025, set a new record low for sea-ice volume.

Volume, thickness and extent are all at record lows right now for the date. The Climate 8-ball is chanting, "Ice free by twenty-fifty."

A while back I wrote a thread about neurodivergence and #collapse that struck a chord with far more people than I expected.

Several of you asked me to take it further - to deepen it, and make sense of the pattern properly.

Thx for reading :) #overshoot

A casual reminder.

Humans have increased atmospheric CO2 from about 270 ppm pre-industrial to about 435 ppm today, an increase of about 165 ppm.

That's about the same increase as having 1650 people simultaneously urinating 250 ml (~1 cup) into an olympic sized swimming pool.

People who try to blame AI for their own poor choices are a special kind of stupid. It's like blaming a search engine for giving you bad ideas when you're the one who typed the information in.

Once again, Monbiot asserts his position on population growth, deriding those who posit that population growth must be curbed for the integrity of the biosphere as would-be murderers. As usual, he ignores the harms to women including death posed by forced pregnancy policies of pronatalists.
Trump thinks immigrants will destroy Europe. The truth is the opposite.
This column is about the long arc of population change, the hybridity of European cultures, and the widely-misinterpreted results of demographic momentum.
Big issues we need to understand.

The facts are stark: Europe must open the door to migrants, or face its own extinction | George Monbiot
These are the facts: plummeting birth rates mean that without attracting immigration, many countries are sliding towards collapse, says Guardian columnist George Monbiot

Offsets are like a smoker paying a healthy person to go for a run, then claiming they’ve reduced their risk of cancer.

The healthy person gains some benefit. The smoker gains nothing. And cancer rates don’t change.

Forestry Carbon Credit Programs Have a Poor Track Record. Can a More Refined Approach Fix the Problem? — Inside Climate News
The Family Forest Carbon Program pays landowners not to timber their trees, then sells the additional growth as carbon credits. But critics question whether it leads to overall emissions reductions.
