I grew up not far from there and had not heard about it until recently. It was horrible.

Man, kids are rough. Mine asked the other day about the cameras I had in the 1800s that made a “poof”. 🙄

My 8 yr old would be quite pleased with the 67 reference so that sounds about right.

I have autoplay turned off everywhere. I can’t handle it. A brief description is almost too much for me at times. My brain makes vivid enough interpretations without any actual visual or sounds.

It’s certainly an option to tell those in military service who are receiving SNAP, like when my dad got food stamps in the 70s, that they can’t vote.

Sorry for your loss.

My high schooler has obviously grown up with this too but thankfully recognizes how bat shit crazy it is.

I loved this movie as a kid.

Given our Surgeon General in Florida and the anti-science stance of those currently in power, I’m surprised UF was allowed to put something out like this.

And childbirth too I guess. Because we all know that’s super cheap.🙄

For me it’s that I can’t keep it on the counter. It’s a pain to lug out if the lower cabinet.

So true. It makes living in reality absolutely maddening.

As someone under 50 who has birthed two babies, that shit is expensive even if everything is routine.

I’ve never even set mine up. Passcode all day everyday.

Weird. I visited DC in 2024 with my kids and we took the Metro everywhere and walked all over with no issue at all.

I use my fingers a little to help hold and move stitches. Yarn size and needle combo can make it harder. I prefer smaller needles, but I also hated the big fat pencils they made us learn with as kids.

Casting on can be hard and I still don’t like backwards loop. Long tail is my go to. Once you get it, it’s not too bad. My 2nd grader has recently been learning.

I learned partially by books and some hands on help which is pretty typical for how I learn almost anything. And then just trial and error and practice. Dishcloths are a good starting project. Garter stitch is easiest at first.

I’ve taught lefties the same as righties. You can tension yarn in either hand. I’m a rightie and tension in my right hand and flick the yarn. I’ve finally learned halfway decent tension in my left hand for crochet.

Patience. When I first learned, my tension was so tight you could hardly get the stitches off the needle, much less knit them off. I loosened up eventually & have been at it for 25 years. It’s actually a great de-stressor for me. And small projects are portable & great for waiting around.

Maybe it’s regional. The one near me is in a big strip shopping center with a lot of stores but also a ginormous parking lot that I’ve never once seen completely full.

So vaccines good now? 🤡

It was a squeaker election for Gov and Senate in 2018. Then covid happened and the Gov went from shutting down bars and setting road blocks on I-95 to the “Free State of Florida” and attracted a lot of covid deniers and conspiracy theorists.

I used hallucinate with it last night. Was searching to see the score of a high school football game being played and forgot to remove ai results. The AI returned a final score on a game in the 1st quarter complete with yesterdays date. And thankfully that did not match the actual RL final score.

I don’t use Insta much but when I do I set it to following and then only see those I follow.

I also never used “for you” back on Twitter either.
