My afternoon is listening to BBC R4 dramatisation of Castle of Otranto while doing cross stitch...

On a 4hr train ride in Sweden for reasons. But this train looks like it's from the 70s with just me on it & an old Swedish lady listening to weird folk spirituals & rousing speeches on her phone out loud.
I don't know where this is. It's Get Out meets League of Gentlemen but in Swedish

Interesting opening. Absolutely bleak setting in a graveyard on the moors.
It also has this spaghetti western vibe with character actors almost in a frieze in close up.

Tonight's film is... Wuthering Heights (1970). It's Timothy Dalton. I was skeptical but this seems to be a popular one.
The candles are lit, the rain is tapping at the window let's go...

Tonight's film is... Wuthering Heights (2009). It's the Tom Hardy one.
Yes I am on a weird WH odyssey in response to that trailer.
But it's actually interesting watching adaptations back to back
So far Hardy is closer to the text. Rough and evil.
