Writing, for me, manifests as staring at an empty document while feeling intense self loathing. One time in ten, maybe, something will ‘click’ and I’ll stream-of-consciousness 2k to 10k words at near final draft resolution / quality, but the process of doing so is almost physically painful.

The advice I was given was to ‘write around’ the topic until I start to get into the flow state. Write in low resolution - overarching ‘this is what this segment is about’
