Slow start to try and get moving today. I'm really low energy, so I'm going to try and see if I can build up enough steam pressure. Doing something different with my coffee and adding a little cinnamon and vanilla to it. Let's see if this works.

Things are calming down, but there is the background of tension and uncertainty. Seems to be the story of my life. Positive things going on recently, but the big issues of health for myself and family, especially my father, are taking center stage.

Next week is a holiday, of course, and despite that, my week is full of work meetings and I still have projects to complete by the end of the month which is effectively next Wednesday. And I have two things to do today at the same time.

Me? I've had a low-level sniffle and sneeze cold going on for a few days. Getting tired of it, but also glad it isn't blowing up into full-blown congestion or cough.

Made the decision to place my father in hospice care today since he couldn't do it himself.
It is surreal. He was not gentle to his family and drove me out when I was only 15. I have every reason to hate him. But he's still my dad 1/7

I got today off work because of the holiday. It is a nice bonus especially considering a couple busy things happening the next couple days.

I woke up tired, but I think I'll be ok. Somehow.
Hopefully the weirdness at work is settled down. Now I can finally get to projects due two weeks ago that were on hold due to emergency priority stuff.
And tomorrow is a holiday, so I get to sleep tomorrow too!
