Got really excited when I saw this on my dog walk this morning @artifactscott.bsky.social. Not every day that you get infill in a pretty intact 19th-20th century neighborhood. Let’s see an elevation!

Boop! Loving how this staircase is coming together at the Ronald McDonald House in Dayton.

At home with my sick-for-the-last-month child so no better time to share some shots from my second visit to, and my first time ever inside, Thorncrown Chapel.

Making the most of a road trip pit stop in St. Louis by checking out Studio Gang’s One Hundred tower on an early morning run. Pine cone or a shuttlecock

Merry Christmas! This year my holiday experience has been amplified through the eyes of a 2 year old, and let me tell you… it has been so fun.

Some perfect solstice morning light drew me to Vandalia Point to check out the best new infill in the neighborhood in a long time. New Republic Architects did a good job on this one.

To everyone asking on my morning dog walk about my new glove: no it’s not Moncler, it’s my two year old’s coat wrapped around my hand.

Cincinnati has an RFI out asking what could be done with the abandoned subway tunnels. Outside of actually building transit (which would be largely redundant there) I’m so curious to hear what people think. Only the portion from Brighton Place to Walnut is part of the RFI.

The Bengals misfortune coincides with the Cinati Bengos cease and desist letter. Coincidence? I think not.

From Yahya Sinwar to those responsible for the 1996 one-half cent sales tax for the Bengals stadium, everybody gets to be an architect all of a sudden?

Slow and steady (indecision and procrastination) wins.

Every time we look back at how our house looked five years ago when we moved in, we’re shocked by how far it has come. @kirmie.bsky.social

Due to some domestic austerity, I’ve put off buying a new Apple Pencil for several months. It’s taken out some of my mojo. Drawing on my iPad is one of my favorite relaxing activities, not to mention how much I use it working as an architect. Well, @kirmie.bsky.social went and spoiled me!

What you see: A big box store with a giant parking lot

What I see: A former Walmart transformed into a community wellness center with Library, Gym, Food Pantry, Daycare, and Social Services all wrapped into one place in rural Rushville, Indiana.
