A running joke as a sound engineer is to be asked "are you ready for the orchestra?" Once you're done with sound checks and rehearsals. We all have a little chuckle about the absurdity of that happening.

Saw Smashing Pumpkins yesterday, supported by Skunk Anasie. Pumpkins were great and smiled politely throughout, BUT, watching Skin perform was mesmerising. Time seems to have stood still for her: flying around the stage, joining the circle pit, and belting out vocals like I've seldom heard. Amazing.
