You can play DSiWare natively & play some GBA games on a DSi & DSi XL, however for the sake of playing a bunch of games the GBA library is alot bigger than the DSiWare library, both in quantity & quality

-ing as good as playing GBA natively. Most DS homebrew was made with DS flashcarts in mind, not a hacked DSi & DS flashcarts with Twilight Menu can play some DSiWare.

DS Lite>DS>DSi XL>DSi

Because the DS Lite & DS plays the GBA library natively with no problem compared to the DSi XL & DSi which isn't fully native. At best the DSi & XL can use GBARunner2 & 3 to play GBA games but it's nowhere close to be-

Arguing whether a DS system is better for DS games by saying "this can play GBA games!" doesn't help as playing GBA games itself doesn't mean anything for DS games & changes the argument away from just playing DS games to something more like "what plays more games" which then the order of DS system-

*for bonus content which only effects unlocking bonus content in VERY few games, especially compared to how massive the DS library actually is

I also forgot to mention the DSi can change it's level of brightness (5 levels) in-game by holding SELECT & pressing Volume + or - where the DS Lite has 4 levels & you can't do it in-game.

Extra Note: The DS Lite hinge is garbage & the DSi has a good hinge, whenever emulation handhelds have bad hinges they mostly stop getting recommended to buy but ig the DS Lite get's a pa-

- screens are slightly bigger, DSi stylus is slightly longer, DSi has the superior D-Pad as it's diagonals are slightly better although I wouldn't say it's significantly better, those 3 small advantages straight-up make the DSi better than the Lite for DS games besides the very few that use SLOT-2 -

I see a common take online about DS systems ranked as this:

DSi XL>DS Lite>DSi>DS

The idea behind DS Lite>DSi is that the DS Lite has the GBA slot & the DSi XL is the best system for DS games anyway, but the logic is a bit flawed because the DSi is still better for most DS games anyway as the DSi-

-raised & diagonals are incredible, similar to the SP's D-Pad & it's shoulder buttons aren't nearly as fragile as the Lite & DSi, I ended up liking it alot since I got used to it's worse screen & no longer cared as much about other DS models having better screens but that isn't something most can r-

-liked collecting systems I also liked to compare them alot to each other, pros & cons & I see the DS Lite as a jack-of-all-trades, master-of-none. Even the Phat DS which while I love & admit is mostly garbage & inferior to the DS Lite for DS games, I still love it's buttons
