But I don't think this will at all be the fall of media. Independent studios and creators have been much more prevalent for a few years and they'll take over where the former major studios failed, while hopefully not making the same mistakes

Wait and see isn't a very strong point, but I'm definitely paying attention to the whole mess with most major media companies. I think the fall of the major studios and AAA game publishers is coming very soon, and WB being bought by any of the three is a step closer.

I agree, but it's still over exaggerating by a lot to say this is the worst Hollywood has ever done. You just need to look at everything the Weinsteins did for much more evil and vile behavior.

While the show is popular I don't think it's saving Star Wars' reputation on its own. Everything else Star Wars is still bad

Also machine learning programs are common tools in media creation, and are not gen AI. There is a difference and it's important to understand or else you can actually become anti artist yourself

I'm avoiding even stuff like Expedition 33 because of their use of genAI for "placeholder" assets. I don't care how good people say a game is or how hard the devs say they worked, if it has genAI I don't want it/

This makes me think more game directors need to put their name in the credits and intro videos 30 times like Kojima does so the fans know who at the studio led the development on games they like
