Hmm, why no image?! Still, makes sense to get a few more youngsters out on loan

Has anyone used any of the lending sites? Are they any good?

No surprises here. I wonder if there are any self-imposed requirements now for squad size/cover in certain positions (i.e. does this move have any impact on incomings, or just part of slimming the squad down).

Although "to be fair" it IS therapeutic to moan online about your football teams struggles! Better that than the grim reality of what else is going on in the world right now...!
January 20, 2026 at 4:08 PM
I sometimes wonder if Spurs really are an "unlucky" team as the tales of woe are so loud from their supporters, but then you quickly realise it's a (mostly) privileged fan-base who's perspective has been skewed by modern football coverage (also see Man U).

It still sounds like he's a way off, but looks more and more likely we'll see him this season which would be amazing.
January 20, 2026 at 9:55 AM
Very good point, I did miss out Leahy there. I think that's a big part of why he's played so many minutes this season - especially late in games when we're trying to see it through, even though his quality on the ball seems to disappear as he gets knackered!
January 20, 2026 at 9:54 AM
I don't mind if some of the younger kids are emotionless robots, it seems that's how a lot of the academies are bringing them up, but we still need the leaders as well. Beyond Grimmer we're definitely lacking in this squad.

Like trying to ask my son about anything that happened during his day at school! Not giving much away is he?!
January 19, 2026 at 7:51 PM
Those two reminded me of the "Benda-boys" season with Senda and Betsy dominating the right-wing in the Gormania days. For a few months that season we looked unstoppable (Sergio as well! 😍)

I know what you mean, on paper it's not very inspiring, but when you dwell on it it's a "sensible" signing.

If you put Harris and Henderson in the system we've played the last few games I think it would improve us a lot. Especially if it meant Woodrow dropped out of the side 😅
January 19, 2026 at 5:20 PM
I dunno, when I think about replacing Woodrow with a younger, more energetic and physical player I get quite excited!
January 19, 2026 at 5:09 PM
Fred is the best 😍. I like how Duff is promoting him as one of the teams leaders as well, he seems to be really embracing it and has progressed a lot this season
January 19, 2026 at 5:07 PM
I have no problem with us striving to match what Brighton and Brentford are doing, but I think it'll take a bit longer to establish everything on and off the field first. Hopefully they have learnt from making so many naive changes so quickly.
January 19, 2026 at 5:04 PM
He's possibly the most talented player in the league, but no one is screaming for him to play every week.

You can't have the fancy bits without putting in the work off the ball at this level. It's similar to Junior as well, they just don't seem like "Duff" style players.
January 19, 2026 at 5:01 PM
Yeah I think you're right, and I reckon it's dependent on outgoings as well. Tilley seems to be on the way out, but I wonder what this signing means for Lowry.
January 19, 2026 at 4:53 PM
A sensible pivot for sure. Like getting Duff as a more experienced coach. It's what we need at this stage.

I wonder if Rice, et al got a bit carried away with the "project" last season. The January signings, Dodds and even the summer signings, too many experimental (idealistic?) changes too early
January 19, 2026 at 4:50 PM
Agreed, the more I dwell on it the more it makes a lot of sense. A welcome shift from the unknown quantities. Viva la Duff!
January 19, 2026 at 4:44 PM
Enthusiastic with his celebrations, I like it.
January 19, 2026 at 4:40 PM
Duff did say he was back in training, but after last time I can understand not rushing him back. He has been playing a bit deeper than where Harris apparently plays, so together they could (hopefully!) make a big difference!
January 19, 2026 at 4:38 PM
I can't see a scenario where we sign Morely, as much as I would love it!
January 19, 2026 at 4:36 PM
Good to have a young loan signing who already has success at this level and some experience above as well.

I was expecting a deeper combative midfielder, but Harris will hopefully offer a more natural player in the position Woodrow seems to be playing at the moment.
January 19, 2026 at 4:35 PM
Can't really work out his "natural" position, is it a more attacking midfielder? Looks to be a good fit 🤞

I guess he got recalled by Fulham to (hopefully) play more regularly for a team that wasn't struggling as much?

It's a shame we kamikaze'd out of all the cups it would be good to see more of him. I hope he gets a few cameos
January 19, 2026 at 1:05 PM
A bit of 1+1=5 there I think. As much as I would love it I can't see it happening. He never played for us under Duff & Bolton made it clear they don't want to sell to rivals.

I guess Oxford could work, but the doesn't seem to be anything tangible in there
