🔵Tar Heel Express will run tonight (that's the only update we have for today)
🔵No Solid Waste pickup
🔵Modified transit service starts at 9 a.m. (CCX, F, G, and 420 won't run)

We're updating our service start times based on our road assessments this morning. Conditions on secondary streets require a later start for some of our routes.
Routes starting at 10am: FCX, JFX, B, J, NS, RU, U
Routes starting at noon: A, C, CL, CM, CW, D, HS, N, NU, T

Our crews have been hard at work plowing primary roads today with secondary roads up next tomorrow. We’re asking everyone to stay off the roads tonight as temperatures dip again.

⛄Another winter storm is forecast to move into the area late tonight and lasting into early Sunday morning.

Our Public Works crews have been hard at work clearing snow from local roads. Some still have slick spots, and we expect wet surfaces to refreeze again overnight.

Many of our services return to normal tomorrow, while some will be on a delayed schedule.

The winter weather moved out of our area last night.

While some roads are becoming passable, many are not. We expect travel conditions to deteriorate overnight as frigid temperatures move in and wet surfaces freeze.

Some Duke Energy customers are receiving fraudulent text messages that appear to be from them, claiming customers will be impacted by a scheduled power outage. The messages did not come from Duke Energy.

👉 Orange County and American Red Cross will open a shelter at to anyone in need at Smith Middle tomorrow at 9 a.m.
👉 P&R facilities are scheduled to be open tomorrow 9 to 1 and closed Sunday.
