All the love and empathy to you and everyone grieving the man who meant so much to you, personally. This hits hard for so many reasons and we are reeling out in the audience as well.
Rob's work is branded on my soul in ways I've been rediscovering over the past days, and can't quite process yet.

Ah, an abusive teacher. I had one of these in third grade and it ruined school for me for years.

My mom lacks mobility and nimbleness because she struggles to move, her immobility is self-perpetuating. A bloated system will have a slowed reaction time, too many steps, processes, checkpoints. The people who built/use the system will think the solution is MORE processes. It's a flexible metaphor.

I'm not sure that I did. Your Gran is plump, and her cushion is protective. My Mom is severely obese and her cushion has become a liability. Systems need redundancy, idle resources for emergencies, but there's a point of diminishing return where cushion becomes bloat. Finding the sweet spot matters.

Counterpoint. My mom has an extra 100 lbs on her and when she falls she goes down on a knee or her hands. The impact of that much weight on a small surface area does a scary amount of damage.

But watch the live performance on YouTube though! Stevie *destroys* Lindsay Buckingham with the power of song. A+ vengeance.
