I have the production capability and have done a bit of sound design for audio dramas / storytelling podcasts in the past, but I've never actually tried to start my own.

The more I ponder this short though, the more I'm considering it.

I mean, they make good stuff (most of the time). I just get a little annoyed when they act like nobody over the age of 25 has ever engaged in an act of non-conformity.

But.. I get it.

They have a youth market to exploit.

The answer probably lies somewhere between "safety conscious" helicopter parents and "traditional values" evangelical zealots.

I can't remember that last time I saw a legitimately scary costume. Maybe 2007? Everything is sanitized, yet somehow also made for sex appeal now. it's fucking weird.
