What's a book you read in your formative years that impacted you deeply?

One (among many) for me was The Sight by David Clement-Davies. I read it around 4th or 5th grade, and I was so inspired by it I wrote the first forty pages of a novel when I finished.

There's a lot that's difficult about querying but something I think is cool to see is how many stories are out there, waiting to be told when I see all the other submissions to agents I've queried.

How amazing so many people have stories inside them? How wonderful how many more there will be.

Day 2 (the final day) of the Writing Workshop of Chicago was so fun and a big win.

I've learned so much and pitched my book to three agents, two of whom have requested pages. I am thrilled and appreciate all the feedback from the agents I spoke with today.
