I love it, but yeah, I haven't heard it mentioned much. The way it's blurbed in the English edition doesn't do it any favors, which might have something to do with that.

Psycho in a theater a few years ago. Like everybody, I know about the movie, but I'd never seen it, and a lot has changed in the world since it was made. There's the Big Moment when Norman flings the door open wearing his mother's dress... and it's pure Monty Python. The entire theater cracked up.

Doing the math, Split Lip has a pretty good deal, for Amazon. If you're really small, Amazon keeps 55% and then expects you to ship books by ones and twos, so shipping costs erase any money you might have made. We ate that for a while for the "prestige", but in the end, to hell with Amazon.

Considering how buggy and resource-hungry v2 is, them abandoning it in that state really disinclines me from wanting anything further to do with them. They have absolutely not earned my trust.

I remember this being posted to the web ages ago. It was such a great setup and then it just sort of stopped before we ever found out what's going on. It has haunted me ever since and it is great to have it suddenly reappear!

Even then, it depends on how well maintained and calibrated the equipment is. I remember one print house... working from the same files, every print run was visibly different shades.
