I knew #Wicked 2 was going to be some kind of lore bomb but WOW WOW WOW What a lore bomb!! Absolutely shook at how the entire original Wizard of Oz is going to be seen differently. And WHAT! I was quite shocked at the ending! I can't score it right now due to shock. So glad I avoided spoilers!

Spending all this week doing 10hour graveyard shifts leaves me almost no time to do anything fun. Boo. The movies haven't stopped releasing.
I was able to catch Kevin Harts Netflix special though. I like him more now that hes screaming less and storytelling better. I loved his wheelchair story!

Also watched #Sisu last night. Too over the top and silly, Tarantino level violence in this one. Nothing like the hardcore, mostly realistic action of the first one. Understand, there's a very fine line between the two, but this one lost the subtlety. I hope thats the end of the franchise honestly.

While #Zootopia 1 was primarily about police corruption and racism, the sequel touches on gentrification and to a lesser extent corporate land buying destroying local communities. Its all in a fuzzy colorful filter of course. Still a great message under the Nick/Judy partners in crisis plot.

Finally watched #Ratatoulle and #TraintoBusan on my flight today. Pixar did a great job making a solid movie, its not top 5 but solid.
Busan was also a good example of the "running infected" but the selfish businessman trope is heavy in these Korean presentations im noticing.

Hawaii bound! Even though I have no money now, This is a timeshare and not refundable...
But hiking, going to the beach, and enjoying the sights are free. Hopefully the museums are free as well because Im fairly interested in the Kingdom's history.

The #Cinemark secret movie today was #Eternity, a charming rom-com (remember those?) That mixes the out of reality organization concept of #Loki season 1, the TVA, with the "imagine a perfect world with the one you love" of Inception. I thought it was very nice, and introspective.

I thought for sure The Simpsons had.mpre.episodes than One Piece. I guess I was.wrong by a lot. Simpsons 800 will be in Feburary 2026. OP is already well past 1000.

Finally saw #BlackPhone2 and there's no way the Grabber mask is not anymore iconic than Billy the Puppet, Jason's mask, Freddy's claw, or the Chucky doll.
If this is a duology (is that a word?) Its fantastic. Possibly the best. Was a bit light on horror but it was a longish movie too. 8.5/10

While I am not in imminent pain because of this #shutdown financially, its taking a mental toll as I continue to pull money oit of my savings account. Especially next week will be horrible for 77,000,000 people as SNAP disappears AND Health insurance premiums from the marketplace double/triple.

Im not going to say its better than Paranormal Activity, but If this was one of the first horror movies I've seen I would rate it higher. Theres a lot of tropes it leans on that everyone has seen before. They are all mixed in so we kind of know the ending. I give it 6/10. Above average but not great

The Mystery Movie last night was Shely Oaks, a decent scary movie about a woman trying to find her sister who disappeared 12 years ago. It was fine, better than Slenderman but not as good as Paranormal Activity. The movie skews toward demonology, and is pretty straightforward.
