I’d love to read this. I’ve spent most of my professional “career” working in F2P, so mechanics and market are almost all I see. I did contract work for production on A CoD game and was shocked at how little market consideration was happening at the low level. But it was A Formula, so …

I’ve worked in various tech sectors, and only one place I’ve ever worked has talked about their balance sheet like grownups. Everywhere else focuses on Revenue, stock price, and market share. It’s all a part of the “Line must go up” / “if you aren’t growing you’re dying” mentality. it’s terrible.
