Ah it's not that bad, sometimes there can be an air of unwlecomeness in some places, but not everywhere. We regularly come up the north and we know where to avoid, but when trying somewhere new you never know! Its weird to still be tensions in places in this day and age.

It still feels so different up here but not in a bad way, a nice way! Feels like I'm abroad but the border is literally only a half hour drive from me.

Also a lot of irish language everywhere here, beautiful.

I'm in Down and I was nervous because the place we're staying is apparently quote unionist but so far everyone is friendly. My parents visited Hillsborough a couple years back and they cancelled their hotel and left because the locals made them feel very unwelcome.
