I don't want to spoil this, but these malapropisms (if that's what hey are?) were associated with poshos/"Sloane Rangers" and their partners who went to live in South London in the 80s - as a joke. As @onebiskuit.bsky.social says below, it's one of those like "Claam".

I got it in 90s from a non-registered importer for £800 (frame only). (Litespeed were known in the USA as "lawyer's bikes" because they were so expensive, Tuscany was lowest but one price model).
Super plush ride.

...higher and trickier to organise because they are off the public highway, but it's needed as one of the possibilities.
And also subsidy for people on low incomes to have roadworthy bikes (and accessories such as wet/cold weather clothing) accessible to them....
