First Alert Weather Day will continue throughout the afternoon as occasional snowfall pushes through central #Wisconsin.

Minus the first few days of January, temps this month have been well above average in Wausau and the rest of central #Wisconsin.
Much colder temps arrive next week, which is the coldest week of the year in central Wisconsin.

Stevens Point set a new record high today at 46°, as plenty of locations in central #Wisconsin hit the 40s.
Expect a sharp cool down Wednesday, with an even bigger cool down arriving this weekend as an Arctic cold front rolls through.

Even though we're weeks past the shortest day of the year, our coldest average temp of the season is still on the way for January 22. That is due to how the Earth resists changes in temps and how uneven the heating and cooling of the Earth really is.
