Well I'm not giving up prose for illustration anytime soon, but I did win the "Draw a Ghost" contest at last night's Halloween party. A niche 90s club reference was a surprising hit with the voters!

Every now & again my wife do a buddy read and grab the same book from the library and bookstore so we don't have to wait for the other person to finish so we can start discussing it. Our most recent buddy read was @wnwagner.bsky.social's GIRL IN THE CREEK! Loved the eco/fungal body horror vibes.

It was too cold for tauntauns this afternoon, so I'm thrilled to see it'll be -32C before considering windchill tomorrow morning when I leave for work. But hey, at least it's a dry cold!

A lot of my S&S projects take place in a shared world created with 3 other writers & inspired by the work of Robert E. Howard & H.P. Lovecraft. My stories are often set in the city of Khyber full of rogues, cultists & dead gods waking or islands full of viking-inspired necromancers. sharedworld.ca
