Yesterday I had the honour to partecipate at @cgnobilephd.bsky.social's final event of her Marie Skłodowska Curie fellowship at Turin University. I felt rather misplaced among top researchers from UNITO, @ub.edu, @upc.edu, @tilburguniversity.bsky.social and @tue.nl! A great experience indeed #MSCA

I have been appointed vice coordinator of CONVECS – COmuNità VEneta per il Calcolo Scientifico. Funded by the Veneto Region, CONVECS involves 5 partners (UNIPD, UNIVE, UNIVR, INFN, IUAV) with the goal of establishing a regional infrastructure for HPC, enabling computationally intensive research

The UK and the US are becoming a very particular kind of “poor country”.
Not poor overall in the big league tables, but in a situation where the average citizen lives in poverty.
