Earlier this week, CFROG community members, EVA youth leaders, and partners from the Ventura County Climate Alliance gathered outside of @asmirwin.bsky.social district office in Thousand Oaks and delivered over 60 letters calling on her support for a Polluters Pay Climate Superfund law!

Breaking News! Yesterday morning, the Santa Barbara Board of Supervisors voted 3-2 to pass a resolution in support of California’s Polluters Pay Climate Superfund Act (AB1243/SB 684) -- joining over 20 cities and counties across the state who have passed similar resolutions to make polluters pay!

Last week, EPA Adm. Zeldin illegally rushed through a rule that gives a free pass to the oil and gas industry to pollute our air and harm our health.

California leaders and agencies must fill the gap left by this delay rule by implementing strong state public health and climate regulations now!

A Carbon California storage tank spilled at least 420 gallons of crude oil into Sisar Creek near Hwy 150 between Ojai and Santa Paula on Tues.

On 10/25, we hosted over 20 community members, climate activists, and youth leaders for our second Ventura County Potluck with a Purpose!💚 We had such a wonderful afternoon filled with food, community, organizing, and letter writing around the Polluter Pays Climate Superfund Act!

Last week, CFROG staff members headed to Philadelphia to join organizers from across the country to participate in Midwest Academy’s Organizing For Justice Training Part 2! We are excited to bring back and share all that we learned with our communities here in Ventura County!

📣 Santa Barbara County just took a critical step toward phasing out fossil fuels!

The Board of Supervisors voted in favor of the Oil & Gas Phase-Out Ordinance, moving the policy to the next phase of implementation planning.

The fight continues, but the plan is moving forward!
