What a way to close out the night. Slipped out the back door just as things were finishing up so we could crash for the night. Chispa really brought the house down. Sometimes your life just clicks and today is one of those days.

Gear packed. Trailers loaded. Done by 4. That’s the beauty of early slots and fly in tours. Close the door and see the rest of the gear in Gold Coast. Works finished and it’s not 2am. Crews got the evening off. Might even enjoy a bit of Auckland.

Dinner with the Crew. Chill festival backstage. We thought about leaving campus but opted for a food truck and some tunes.
February 5, 2026 at 3:14 AM
Off stage, into cooling vest. Gear already rolling. Crews got this choreographed. Next acts team is already positioning cases. This is how festival changeovers should work. Fast. Clean. Professional.
February 5, 2026 at 1:38 AM
Everything on rollers for quick strike. Cooling vest ready for stopper post show. Auckland summer is no joke event 2pm. Precision operation planned and practiced down to the minute. 25 minute load out window. Then we’re done.

Early call for festival day. Load I. Starts at 9. Set at 1:20. Afternoon slot means we’re done by mid afternoon and can actually have a normal evening. This is the good kind of festival. For the moment though… coffee.
February 4, 2026 at 5:27 PM
Night before show day. We did a walk thru at the festival. Should be in good shape. Slow and smooth today. Fast and smooth tomorrow.

Piper Burke is heading to the Canary Islands for a show next Sunday. The lovely Jade will be behind the monitors.

We are on our way to Auckland.
February 2, 2026 at 6:49 PM
Load out complete. Gear packed for Auckland. Local crew was exceptional. Made opening night feel easy.

Was great to be back on a board.

Manchester Revival killed it. They had the crowd in the palm of their hand. This is why we do this.
February 1, 2026 at 12:45 PM
36 minutes to doors. That specific kind of quiet when everything ready and you’re just waiting for the room to fill. This and walk on are my favorite bits.
February 1, 2026 at 10:24 AM
Soundcheck went really well. Ruoers comfoetabke with the space. Monitors dialed in. Local opener is solid. Band is happy. This is a great venue.
February 1, 2026 at 9:17 AM
Artist sound check in 30. Rupees for their quiet space backstage. Series confirmed. Monitor mix from last run loaded as a starting point. Routine matters. Especially on tour kickoff.
February 1, 2026 at 8:12 AM
Afternoon rain rolled through right on schedule. Everything stayed dry but double checked everything anyway. Not taking chances on opening night. Or any other night.
February 1, 2026 at 6:48 AM
Crew Lunch. Half the team is comparing notes on the best hawker stalls the other half is debating what to do tomorrow on the flight to Auckland. This is the stuff I missed the mundane and the profound.
February 1, 2026 at 4:07 AM
Manchester Revivals gear is fully spec’s but you still adapt to each venue. This Brinson’s interesting acoustics- high ceilings and lots of bounce. Will take a bit to get the monitor mix just right or it will feel wrong.

Humidity here is its own challenge. Every cable connection gets checked twice. Every outdoor run gets wearherproofing even when skies are clear. Local crew already taught me three ticks I’ll use for the rest of this run.
February 1, 2026 at 2:32 AM
Game day. Load in starts at 7. Forgot how much I missed this- the organized chaos of equipment cases rolling off of trucks. Local crew who know their venue cold, that first coffee that’s never quite enough. It’s good to be back on the production side.
January 31, 2026 at 10:47 PM
To the people of Minnesota protesting in the cold. Know that I see you. I stand with you. I support you. So does Manchester Revival and every other band I work with.

We are feeling a little better here but it’s always hard flying to the other end of the world. Not getting into much today.
January 27, 2026 at 4:37 AM
I got Manchester revival from the airport early this morning. Today is a nothing day. Everyone is hellishly jet lagged. We are here in Singapore. Maybe tomorrow we will get out and about a bit. Or Wednesday.

Imma go back to sleep now.
January 26, 2026 at 4:22 AM
Can’t sleep. Too much coffee and too many time zones. Watching movies somewhere iver the pacific. Should land in about 11 hours.
January 24, 2026 at 10:08 AM
Boarding. Don’t think I’m going to sleep much in Themis flight but we shall see.
January 24, 2026 at 4:38 AM
Caught a nap in a sleep pod. Did a bit of work. Now I’m in line to check in. After this flight I’ll have crossed the Atlantic twice and the Pacific once in 5 days. Tour manager life is weird. Also I’ve been all over this airport. VIP to coach. Blows my mind every time I’m here.
January 24, 2026 at 3:36 AM
Check delivered. Evelyn confirmed deposit. Work continues on Marie’s case. Now off to the airport. I’ll be a little early but I can work from the lounge. Arriving Sunday morning.
