Now that I've finally finished working on Looploop I've been taking a bit of a break this week to just chill and get back into normal schedule so nothing to report on

is what i would say if i was a dumb stupid person, who said i was done with Looploop yet

Looploop v1.01 is released! Minor patch containing some bug fixes and also controller support. Save should persist to the new files so you can just install the new ones the same way and delete the old files. Browser version is already up-to-date

Final Looploop gamedev update

Looploop is nearly done. I've just been mushing the last few minor bugs and tweaks, there really isnt much to report on.

I now have key art thanks to Frey426, it turned out super good!

5 days until Looploop its genuinely baffling to think about actually being done :D

Gamedev update (no im not late again shh)

uh tbh almost nothing this week, with a mix of holidays and the game being close to done there really isnt much else to work on rn. game releases in 10 days, meaning next week will be the last gamedev update for looploop, cant wait to finally finish

Not as much work this week, was busy with finals. I did maybe kinda sorta possibly maybe make an entire b skin system for all the the characters so that's pretty cool, I'll try and get a pic when I can

Actually got a lot done this week, ofc theres more bug squashing but i also made a new secret boss (shown below) and i've been working on the last few things i need to throw in before the games done. Releasing soon btw!

Not much this week, was out of town with family for thanksgiving and such. I did some more minor work regarding balancing and reworking some things. Uhh that's about it this week since I'm close to the end the next few updates are probably just gonna be minor things

Finished the weapons and here's the art for them as promised. Also working on some last minor tweaks and some balancing stuff, doing some play testing as well just to make sure there's nothing I missed. I'm getting super close to being done it's almost finally finished hell yeah

Didn't get all the bugs but I'm just about done with those, I also started working on a few new weapons. I know it's a little late in development to be making stuff like that but with the addition of new hard enemies it made the game way harder so I needed some sort of compensation

I actually got stuff done this week woohoo, got the enemy bios done, a bunch of bugs and tweaks and starting to work on more ingame hints for the games secrets and stuff. I would give footage but I'm away from the computer rn so maybe next time

Uh not much tbh, I just had so little time to actually do dev this week, so all I did was finish up the new enemies (I just need to balance them) and making some changes to the enemy bio system to include the new enemies

More work on the new enemies, I've got spawning and the attack patterns done, I just gotta make them actually balanced. I didn't have time to get footage this time so we'll see about next time if I actually have time to work on it this week (that's a big if tho)

Here's the art for the amped up enemies, their bodies got a lil messed up because uhhh time loops probably do that to you right

Here's the four enemies, I haven't made the boss yet

The first three will show up after the player has met a certain requirement, and the last one is a secret enemy that appears when the top-right enemy attacks a certain enemy

More work on bugs, added a very small cutscene/text intermission before each loop to polish it up a bit, and I started to work on the three new enemies. They're gonna be super amped up versions of the iris enemies I made a long time ago and will be for the late game, around loops 2-3

More work on looploop, not as much done this week bc I had plans this weekend that were great and my car also went full geriatric

Still on the bugs and tweaking grind but within a few weeks I MIGHT have some new enemies coming in, it depends on if they're good for the game balance

Back to getting work on looploop, I did a big playthrough of the game and wrote every bug and tweak i found

I made a rough schedule of what I need to do and when to do it, assuming I stick to this list the game should be out before the end of the year, likely sometime in December 👀

The birthday game is finished and good news it went well, they really enjoyed it and I had to nerf the game twice because they had a skill issue

The better news is that I can finally get back to looploop development.

No more detours or side projects, I need to finish this game.

Still finishing the bday project, the deadline is farther than I initially thought so I havent been crunching on it so much so I don't go insane. I basically have everything done it's just bug fixes, sfx, and adding the win screen I think.

(New deadline is the 20th btw)

Still more work on the bday project I actually have till the 20th but I'm not gonna use all that time it just means I don't have to crunch as much. All attacks are done its mostly just the remaining stuff like finishing acts and adding dialogue etc

Small detour from looploop, I'm making a small fan game for a friend's upcoming bday, the goal is to have it done by Saturday but I'll have to lock tf in and pray my laptop can actually do its damn job
