In the lab: Couples who displayed more shared reality behaviors during an interaction reported greater meaning in life.👫 And with experiments: Experimentally increasing shared reality reduced uncertainty and in turn increased meaning in life.📈 (4/5)

We tested this in real-world contexts: During the BLM movement, Black Americans experiencing greater shared reality with their partner reported less sociopolitical uncertainty and more meaning in life.✊ Frontline healthcare workers reported less work uncertainty and more meaningful work. 🩺 (3/5)
