I am boycotting #SIGGRAPHAsia 2026 because it will be in Malaysia, where there are serious safety concerns for the LGBTQ+ members of our community, thereby excluding them. I will not attend, submit my work to, or perform any reviews for SIGGRAPH Asia 2026.

Yet, I'm excited about #SIGGRAPHAsia 2025!

At #SIGGRAPH2021, @ankachen.bsky.social presented a method that can capture over 1000 unique points on the human body using only standard cameras and passive lights, without relying on temporal tracking or prior human body models.

The Vertex Block Descent (VBD) method @ankachen.bsky.social presented at #SIGGRAPH2024 is a new unconditionally-stable physics solver that has better parallelism and faster convergence than alternative methods.
