Idk where exactly, but between Fusion and Dread (Fusion suit!), or post Dread but before Metroid 6 (X crisis!) would've been interesting.

The Sylux encounters so far have been bizarre, too. Between him, the yet unexplained stuff about the Metroids and the Lamorn lore it feels like they glued the concepts for three different games together.

They could've also just cut down the federation troopers down to one, if they wanted the rescue and cooperation angle so badly. Not a new idea after all. But like just make Nora a technician and let that be it. At least I'm with her on the Samus superfan thing.

It's bad when the zones except for one are basically corridors. Without glitches the Prime games never came close to the freedom the best 2D Metroids offered, but at least Retro's early games translated level design well into 3D.

I'm 4/5s through this and, yeah. Just feels like, unlike the wait for Metroid 5, they just used the time between releases as an excuse to ignore any criticism leveled against the previous game.

Also I said it'd be the last time, but because of the date ... 👀
