I take Wikipedia for granted. Reading this Jimmy Wales interview reminded me in our Fantasyland age what a remarkable and important creation it is. True pillar of civilization. Runs on only $200 million a year. Requires our support. So I’m finally donating. Gift link: www.nytimes.com/2025/10/18/m...

I just finished up a live coding stream! Watch me create a mini music sequencer with LittleJS in about an hour. It has a major scale piano roll, kick, high hat, and tempo slider. 🎹🥁😅👍 #gamedev #littlejs

If you like David Sylvian, Steve Jansen, Tim Bowness, Ryuichi Sakamoto or Thomas Dolby, I think you may enjoy the music of Quietly Epic as well. At least I do. Very much :) My recommendation for @bandcamp.com Bandcamp Friday!

REMINDER: The latest article features David Sylvian's Steel Cathedrals which he called the 'first step in a new approach for me', opening up the music for guest musicians to respond. The approach was rewarded with beautiful work from Sakamoto, Fripp et al.

1/ Rather long thread coming...
When I joined Bluesky I closed my Twitter account for various and obvious reasons. I struggled with the decision, I had that account since 2009. But in the end it wasn't too hard because I only used it to follow not to communicate. No real life friends were connected

I just saw a short clip from David Lynch's Dune and I realized after all these years that Alia was played by Alicia Witt, the same actress who also starred in Lynch's 1993 Hotel Room. She also appeared in Twin Peaks and more, but I always remember her in her mesmerizing Hotel Room performance :)

Mystery of the Third Planet is a must-watch and I am not being even remotely hyperbolic, the animation is incredible and it just has that retro futuristic charm that many of you crave
Anime was popular in the Soviet Union -- even Andrei Tarkovsky watched it. And animators in the USSR wanted to compete.

The recently restored Mystery of the Third Planet was an odd, wonderful attempt to do so. We explore its story: animationobsessive.substack.com/p/soviet-anime

Finally saw Flow today - a real masterpiece! Loved it, not only because it was made with Blender, but especially because its great non-verbal storytelling. Outstanding, and inspiring, on so many levels. 10/10
