Sorry, but Trump has ruined this World Cup, it's become a propaganda tournament no different to Nazi Germany's Berlin Olympics in 1936. I won't be going, and I won't even be watching. The footballing nations all need to review their association with FIFA as a governing body, it's totally corrupt!

Lucas didn't sell Star Wars, he sold Lucasfilm, Star Wars is their IP. Disney don't make Star Wars films or content any more than they make Marvel's or Pixar's. Lucasflim made Andor, and the Mandalorian and every SW TV show and movie ever. Disney market, distribute and co fund as a parent company.

Whatever plans he had, went out the window long ago with the popularity of the TV show which he worked on; ignored the books while doing so, and still hadn't finished a book by the time they caught up. It's his cash cow, so making more spin-offs is easier and more lucrative than finishing the books.

It started as a planned trilogy in 1994. He took less than 2 years to write the 1st book. The same for the 2nd and the 3rd by which they'd stopped marketing it as a trilogy. 5 years for the 4th, 6 years for the 5th in the same year as the TV show (2011) and 14 years later still 2 books to finish..

Lol, and Trump wanted it acquired by his wealthy donor right-wing buddy Larry Ellison who recently bought Paramount and the stake in TikTok that Trump also acquired for him. So yeah, the opposite of a done deal as Trump will move to prevent it by any means necessary.

Whenever a deal is made to merge or acquire major companies, that deal has to still pass through many regulatory bodies in various countries it has significant businesses in order to maintain its licences.
It's a deal made on the table, it'sstill far from being ratified as greenlit & good to go!
