I don’t know if you’re open to this, but a great stopgap is subbing for your local school district. Everyone I know is desperate for subs. And when you find the job you want, nobody is mad when you take it.

The thing is, I’m no fan of Susan Collins, but I also don’t think it’s fair to only call her out. There’s 50 other Senators who deserve to be pilloried. She’s just the slightly more reasonable one. She’s their Joe Manchin, but that doesn’t make her one of us, so we should stop expecting her to be.

To put all this much shorter: the right's vaccine denialism is not the left's fault. They didn't arrive at that skepticism because of something the left did. They SAY that, of course, because they blame the left for everything, but liberals don't have to take them at their word! They lie a lot!
