Because I live in an autocratic country where we can't even receive mail from overseas anymore, I had to order this book well in advance of a trip home to France!

I'm learning Icelandic, and this will be a challenge @hildur.bsky.social, but I love a good creepy story!

Oh, it's #portfolioday.

I used to be an illustrator before AI made it near impossible to survive and I went and got a soul-crushing desk job.

But here's my past #portfolio.

I really don't understand how anyone has the bandwidth--let alone the nerve--to attend anything like this these days, considering what's going on all around us.

And spare me the "we need distractions from the horror."

Watching Portlandia tonight because I want to remember Portland the way it was, not the "war-ravaged" carcass it has become...

Thanks for the journalistic integrity @cnn.com.

Maybe they could just start from scratch and try building a mortuary trolley? Similar concept, simpler design?

Just re-read Pet Sematary, 40 years after reading it for the first time. It was the first @stephenking.bsky.social book I ever read, and it's still my favorite by far!

Also read Our Wives Under The Sea by #juliaarmfield, which was beautiful.
