For those who were wanting to add more to their Christmas watchlist, I highly recommend Brown Bear's Wedding, in which it features Joss Ackland, Hugh Laurie and Helena Bonham Carter.

The reason for the franchise's popularity in Russia is due to two factors. The first being its solid voice cast that seemed to elevate the films further and the second being is that if you purely focus on three films of the series, it is a moving and powerful story about found families.

Since AniMat has posted his first part of Animation Lookback: Blue Sky Studios, I believe it's the perfect time to discuss the Ice Age franchise. Ice Age has MASSIVE cult followings in other countries, especially Russia. My family were apart of it as we would often watch all three films.

The song that is in this short, One by One, came from the concept album of The Lion King, Rhythm of the Pride Lands. The song is even featured in the stage musical version of the film. Also, it is one of my personal favourite songs from the album and musical along with He Lives in You.

Here is Mickey, as a Plush Puppet from Folkmanis, and Cheburashka. I am very pleased that I owned these two because they were two of the most historically important characters in the history of animation. In fact, certain people from their respective studios has visited each other.

I have a stellar idea of how to do an adaptation of The Twits. Make it into a television special made by Magic Light Pictures, the same company that did Revolting Rhymes (another Roald Dahl book) and one of my all time favourites, The Gruffalo.

These characters are Gena the Crocodile and Cheburashka from Russia's Soyuzmultfilm, the latter basically being the Russian equivalent of Mickey Mouse. Soyuzmultfilm has done many shorts, one feature film in 2010 with Japan and even a then-upcoming animated series featuring these beloved characters.
