The Democratic redline for months has been funding Obamacare. Rs want the Ds to bail them out? Fine, fund the ACA. But *that's not in the CR*.

I feel like for years I've been yelled at for calling the ACA not good enough. Now the Democrats are just…giving up the ACA, so their planes aren't delayed?

Why take this deal, at this exact moment? The shutdown is backfiring on Trump; he's getting booed at football games; his party's losing elections; he's losing legal fights on SNAP and firing of Federal workers. Why *help* him, right now, unless you get something in return?

I think the reason that chuck Schumer is folding is because the air traffic crisis is the first part of this that might actually effect him and his rich donors so he's folding after even a fraction of the suffering so many of the American people have felt this month

A group of Democrats seem to have consolidated on rescuing the Rs from the Rs' own shutdown by passing a "CR" (short-term fund the gov for 1 month bill). A bunch of Bluesky is organizing calls in protest before the vote (202-224-3121 for the switchboard) (but this probably means leaving a voicemail)
