Shout out to the middle… This is the beginning and the end.
Empathy and morals define our character and elevate our shared humanity.
Unfortunately, organized religion often treats them as optional.
The fix? A little less bureaucracy, much more humanity, and a firm reminder that church and state are meant to keep their distance.
