Writer/editor. Assistant Director Chattanooga Film Festival. Huge fan of democracy and saving our planet. The United States has always been the greatest nation in the world. More unites us than separates us. Sworn off mainstream media in favor of indie.
RIP Brian Wilson. The word genius gets tossed out too easily these days. Brian was a true genius who heard sounds in his head and, with the magnificent Pet Sounds and later Good Vibrations and Smile, realized them on record. He'll be missed.

If anyone sees the congressman from my district, please tell him his constituents would love to speak with him in a public setting.

Write your representatives about any of the chaos that's happening right now. I live in a red state, but it appears one of my senators is not buying cuts to Medicaid.

Jen Rubin, formerly of the Bezos-destroyed Washington Post and now writing for her own Substack, The Contrarian, hits it on the head, as usual. Here's an excerpt from her most recent piece about how, in just a month, Leon and The Grifter have wrecked a robust economic left behind by President Biden.

Write your senators about the absurd and heartless budget offered up by the House. I sent this to both of mine just now. Cut and paste it if you'd like. Not sure it will move either one, but if they receive enough correspondence... well, it can't hurt to try.

What's up with the people who didn't even bother to cast a ballot? You're content to let your life be dictated by grifters, cutthroats and thieves who dump on you to enrich themselves?

Finally filled a gap in my Hitchcock viewing. I’d never seen The Wrong Man starring Henry Fonda and Vera Miles. I wouldn’t put it in my top five Hitch films, but I liked it.

Saw this in my grandson's English class today. I particularly like the line, "If there is no struggle, there is no progress."

Lucy (In the Sky with Diamonds), our new Aussie Doodle and companion to our Bernie Doodle Layla (yes, after the song). This photo was snapped by my 7-year-old grandson with his iPad. Lucy is a rescue; hard to believe someone would give her up. Note one blue and one brown eye. Super cool pup.
