CBC, our public, national news broadcaster, includes pseudoscience claptrap like this on their website. I am a CBC supporter, but not when they pander to the lowest pop nonsense. #cdnpoli #astrology #pseudoscience

The mix of colours struck me as a visual metaphor for Canada's multicultural diversity. We are made stronger through our many cultures, races, beliefs, and languages. We should be proud of and embrace our rich mix of people and nations. Celebrate our inclusiveness. Never let us become like the USA.

@guardtheleaf.bsky.social Here's a picture of Collingwood Harbour, with the grain terminals, built in 1928, and a pair of swans flying. I took it this past week. If you want a new pic for your YT videos, you can use this.

Leaves are turning here in Ontario. Some of the maples are brilliant red. This one was in Collingwood's Harbourview Park.

Collingwood Harbour. We were shocked at how low it has dropped: at least 1.5m, if not 2m below the maximum. The rocks you can see on the ground sticking out like dolmen stones used to be underwater. All that new grassland you can see in the panorama, above, was underwater not long ago.

Picked up two books at the local bookstore today. One is a general book about wine (a topic I enjoy reading on). The other is a “biography” of the fifth and latest deity in the Christian pantheon. Explains the origin, the ads, the political uses of, and the commercialization of the Fat God.

Wednesday marked 4 weeks since my surgery. Full recovery, can take six to nine months, so I am barely limping along that path. Still, I feel I've accomplished some milestones so far. I need to get to 120° bend and I'm just over 90°, so there's a long way to go, a little bit every day.

A standing ovation — from Liberals too — for Charlie Kirk in the Canadian House of Commons.
My respect for Carney has plummeted with this gesture to an American hatemonger. #cdnpoli

Susan dug up some of the carrots we've been growing in the garden to have with our dinner tonight. None very large, but certainly varied in colour!

Staples came out of the knee incision this morning. A few more days and the steri-strips will come off, too. Two weeks after surgery, physio continues, and small progress is made daily.
