Concert #27 of 2025 is the hometown heros Acid Cats at Blu Jazz+ in downtown Akron, Ohio! Grew up with these guys as friends in high school, and honored to see their last-ever show (for now at least).

Concert #20 of 2025 is Cautious Clay at the Atlantis in DC. Saw him before at Newport Jazz Festival but his set was a disaster due to tech issues, hoping he has a better time tonight.
Elujay is opening, so I'm excited to see him live fir the first time.

Concert #18 of 2025 is NxWorries (with Rae Khalil opening) at the Fillmore in Silver Spring MD. Sucks that the #Guardians couldn't come through earlier, but this is a solid consolation prize lol.

Isaiah Sharkey and Kiefer played two of the best live solos I've ever heard, Christian McBride's Big Band killed their set, and it was an honor to see De La Soul again.
Off to Boston for Leg 2 of vacation.

Carrtoons, Samm Henshaw, and Flying Lotus were the highlights for sets I checked out. VERY much looking forward to Samm's next album based on his set, he crushed it.

Newport Jazz Festival Day 1 was incredible as always, with perfect weather too!
Finally saw Yussef Dayes Experience and Thee Sacred Souls live, and would highly encourage everyone who sees this to watch both bands in concert. Elijah Fox is a COLD keys player.

It's the middle of the 3rd inning and Newpprt is down 8-1. On top of that, Newport has no DH and started the 3rd inning with a position player pitching. As I'm typing, two separate players almost died from a flying bat.
