Gus Arriola's Gordo Sundays were still great in the 70s, but that's nothing new. I think Funky Winkerbean & Cathy both started in the 70s?...plenty of Johnny Hart/Mort Walker stuff, for what it's worth but yeah, kind of a fallow stretch for newspaper strips.
