I’m back from a much-needed break!
We took the children on holiday to Whitby, which is one of my favourite places 🙂 (and not just because much of the novel Dracula is set there!)

Yesterday I felt awful - physically, mentally and emotionally.
I ended up with an hour gap between meetings and medical stuff, and I had a free coffee voucher and a fantastic book with me.
I gave myself permission to stop and breathe for a while.
Reminder: rest and self-care are important!

Had a very busy month of editing work. But now I’ve got a gap between projects, and the kids are in school / childcare. Going to work on my own manuscript today 🙂

Alas, I’m having surgery tomorrow instead (luckily minor).
Really sad to miss out! 🙁
So I’m going to take my signed copy of ‘Nobody Told Me’ tomorrow. Not quite the same, but at least I’ll have powerful poems to read 🙂
