And why is it that all our elite journos keep being this horrific?

Big law is one of the most small-c conservative cultures I've ever seen. We're talking about people still double spacing after periods. They will not surrender their oversized corner offices easily.

There are secret police here grabbing people off the streets for being brown, my brother. Read the room.

In my lifetime, most state education was free or unbelievably cheap. Tuition at Illinois was $100 an hour plus books. Food, rent, everything was covered by less than 10k in loans, which were federally guaranteed and cost less than 5% in interest.

We can do better than rehashed third way bullshit

In what way? What does it illuminate? It illuminates a narrow definition of something called precarity that you're going to have to Google to define and even then, this whole thread is an argument over what it means.

You know exactly what "half of Americans can't buy new tires" means.

Four of ten Americans today can't pay a $500 emergency bill. 8 in 10 did not add to their savings balance at all last year. You rely on an average picture but averaging hides uneven distribution.

For instance, we can be the richest country in the world and the vast majority still be broke.

Not only that, Buddhism was likely iconoclastic until Greek art/statuary depicted him as Hercules
