He did & I never had a moment’s aggravation for the remaining 3 years from him.
It was useful in a non-physical confrontational way a number of times over my working life: calm resistance to the bully, despite others’ subservience.

Learned my first lesson on that in 1960. The year’s bully, Mitch Grundy - father a butcher in Southport - had a chip on his shoulder the length of Southport pier.
One day, outside of lessons in a classroom, MG grabbed my blazer lapels so I reciprocated by grabbing his.
MG - let go
CA - you first.

Now done.
Hadn’t seen it anywhere. 🤷‍♂️

🤣
But not so funny when you reflect on the many damaged lives at the hand of these evil Philistines, including our disgraced Royal.

In my experience few ever have the 🏐⚽️ to stand up to bullies.
I did, periodically, over my now 78 years.
Popularity plummets but conscience gets a hell of a boost, being clear.

Not going behind the paywall but from the available extract the MP’s understatement that ‘the Government has no friends’.
Hardly surprising when its series of blunders from WFP onwards in July 2024 has alienated millions.
Any thought that Starmer had political skill is dissipated & ludicrous.

Maybe not but I’d not face a hefty slugger for any number of $ms & get my jaw broken.

Fail to see how this is sport or enjoyable, especially when there is a clear mismatch of strength/skill/determination.

Not sure Bailey understands much.
Even the FCA seemed a muddle to him!

Quite.
AI is useless on geography: MetaAI has persuaded itself that Hailsham E Sx is 35 miles southeast of Brighton AND 35-40 miles east of Brighton. Both are in the English Channel.
By repeating to it its errors it’s now embedded in its ‘slop’.
My mission is fulfilled. 😇

It worked in smarmy/jocular/snide format for Johnson long enough. So much so that his key period in the limelight 2016-2022 wrought havoc to the U.K.
And many still seem to hold a flickering candle for that 🤡
Let’s hope the Teflon 🐸gets scratched.

We have to hope it sticks with a majority who possess functioning brain cells.

As ever, the point is that what he did and said then is deeply relevant to what he does and thinks now. Reform's 'ideas and policies' are the direct descendants of his saying 'Hitler was right' and bullying a nine year old black kid when he was 17.

Reform is that bully. Still. Heart and soul.

As if Reform welcomes genuine debate on anything they do!!

We’d be more than happy to debate Reform on ‘the substance’ of their ideas and policies too. Because they’re also racist and ruinous.

…decade & over-reliance on the USA questionable, given WWII only saw its entry after the Pearl Harbor atrocity - Japan was a day early with its attack.
So late-teenagers & pillow cases at the ready. 🤷‍♂️

I’m no pacifist and aghast that the U.K. military has been pared down by successive Governments over 2+ decades but I can’t help thinking that the current alarmist trend betokens something that is rather mysterious.
Clearly the Russian bear is awaking, but Putin has been threat for more than a….

Is it Streeting & Starmer just manufacturing a false crisis?
