You might appreciate the "playing and having fun" headcanon, that the "fight" which introduces Bellbeast is just her playing. She thinks you're just having a good time. Her only attacks are running around, jumping around, and wiggling.

I've spent a few years anticipating the discovery of some horrible side effects. Instead, just more and more good news comes out. Kind of bonkers!

I think a cohesive way to understand the movie is "Supernatural horror is inherently absurd and absurdity is inherently funny". It really spoke to me as someone who usually does not take supernatural horror seriously. It made it feel grounded in a way.

I also watched Weapons this year. I can't say whether it was very good but I enjoyed it a lot too. I don't usually enjoy horror movies which lean on the supernatural.

I can't say what I enjoyed without spoiling Weapons, though.

The showers in my highschool were permanently shut down after kids kept breaking open Axe cans and throwing them in. One time I even ran in to take it out and throw it in the trash, but another kid picked it up and threw it back into the showers. Then someone did this with a huge can of Wasp spray
