Jersey Filth with a heart of gold
I make poetry for dykes and freaks
I am 30 or 40 years old I don't need this
If you're under 21 get the hell outta here

11/24 First time using slang by Equipment: Pulls a lot from screamo and pop punk but still tries to keep a post-punk kinda sound akin to YHWH Nailgun, but with less bite.

11/24 Where Were You on 9/11 by Haram: Absolute ass kicker of a record
November 25, 2025 at 7:17 PM
11/24 Bad Penny by Dazy: Really fun little record that reminds me a little of Jobber and also Shamir's Homo Anxietetam in how they use that 00s rock radio sound in their production. The title track is especially killer
November 25, 2025 at 7:15 PM
11/24 No Hope by Krallice: My bandmate Tasha is a major Krallice fan and I've grabbed a few records from them on her recommendation. This one's a quick icy spell of an EP that feels perfect for the greying days of autumn
November 25, 2025 at 7:11 PM
11/24 Meat Market by MEAT MARKET: Exactly the kind of crunchy blustering garage punk I love. If you're into MC5 King Khan or Ty Seagall type sounds definitely check this out

Gal that makes an incredible baked ziti

11/21 Free by Negativland: America was built on a gun, a knife, a carbine rifle, and the bible. America is a football game.

11/21 Crisis Party by death's dynamic shroud: an album that feels like a response to Faith in Persona and takes that big cavernous sound to make some of the strongest dance tracks I've heard any of this trio cook up. Shouts out the multiple(?) Goldeneye64 sample drops/nods I heard throughout this
November 21, 2025 at 11:20 PM
11/21 Kingdom of One by death's dynamic shroud: My main takeaway diving deep into dds is that next year I want to write about how they deserve to be in the same conversations as OPN and PC Music in terms of how they are showing what pop and dance and electronic music can and should sound like.
November 21, 2025 at 10:59 PM
11/21 The Way Out by The Books: Honestly didn't catch me as much as Lost and Safe, I'll probably need to listen closer with headphones to fully get it.
November 21, 2025 at 10:56 PM
11/21 This Day Won't Last at All by Plumtree: Easily my favorite of their albums after listening to them all. Bittersweet and crisp songs about relationships ending and stagnating, I can see a direct line from them to bands like Jobber in terms of songcraft and sound.
November 21, 2025 at 10:53 PM
11/19 Nostalgia & Grief by Mindspring Memories: I wish I could pinpoint the part of my brain that gets so emotional over Mindspring Memories's music and ask it why so badly. Her music is easy to fall and dissipate into, like a sensory deprivation tank or a taking a bath at 3am in the neardark
November 21, 2025 at 10:50 PM
11/19 DREAM GARDEN by death's dynamic shroud: Taking the title at its value this is a wonderful little bouquet in the making, ideas and concepts bursting up but not really lingering, however it felt a bit incohesive as an album and didn't really leave much impact compared to their other albums.
November 21, 2025 at 10:36 PM
11/19 A Quiet Reset by death's dynamic shroud: Reminded me a lot of softwrld, peaceful and ethereal meditations but more digital than softwrld. I don't know if it's Keith, Tech or James writing these lyrics but whoever it is, they are beautiful, heartbreaking at times. Truly an underrated strength.
November 21, 2025 at 10:25 PM
11/19 POSITIVE YELLOW by ThorHighHeels: See my thoughts on FESTERING GREEN, this is more of that in a great way
November 21, 2025 at 9:40 PM
11/19 Profanation by Praxis: I was really hoping I'd like this one more but it was pretty hit or miss. The tracks with RAMMELZEE and Iggy Pop were rad but the rest of it kind of fell flat for me. I might think differently on a relisten but idk. Also wtf is this album cover dude...
November 21, 2025 at 9:39 PM
11/19 Force Femmed by DEATHLESS FOREVER: Weird and punishing hardcore that reminds me of both HIRS and Fievel is Glauque, this album is an incredibly good way to spend 18 minutes
November 21, 2025 at 9:36 PM
11/19 Hell Bent by Firewalker: YEAHHHH THAT'S THE GOOD SHIT BABIE I fucking love Firewalker and have ever since seeing them live ages ago. This record stomps ass
November 21, 2025 at 9:35 PM
11/18 midnight smoker by Global Chill: Reminded me a lot of Haircuts for Men and the GENOM label's output in general: Dusky and pulsing rhythms that evoke a very coastal chill, what you'd expect to hear a few blocks off the boardwalk at 3am
November 19, 2025 at 6:13 PM
11/18 FESTERING GREEN by ThorHighHeels: Gonna be real I bought this on a whim cause I love THH's vids but it's incredibly good DnB that I plan on throwing on a lot when I'm writing or just kicking around the house
November 19, 2025 at 6:09 PM
11/18 Trouble at the Henhouse by The Tragically Hip: I hadn't listened to this band before but it's cool that Canada has their own YLT (please don't yell at me Canadian friends)
November 19, 2025 at 6:06 PM
11/18 Lost and Safe by The Books: This is one of those artists/albums where I'm genuinely annoyed it took me this long to listen. It's so good and I'm so angry I haven't been listening to this for years already but at least I have many more years to delve into everything happening on this record.
November 19, 2025 at 6:03 PM
11/17 Guilty Rainbow by Roommate: Another album that immediately feels like the era it's from (2010s) and I'm wondering why I downloaded it. It's not bad or anything but teen Rose was clearly excited about it for some reason that current Rose cannot figure out.
